We are trying out a cool tool called "TwitterHub". You will see this in action at the Festival.
Simply tweet the text #tweetme to @dfwfilmfest to get started!
Many thanks to:

"TwitterHub" is an application which collects and displays multiple "tweets" over time.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is Twitter? A social media microblogging tool used for any number of reasons, e.g., to update a status, to follow a reporter, to share and observe insights from people you have yet to meet.
2. How does it work? Create an account and type in any text message no longer than 140 characters.
3. How do I get started? Sign up for an account on http://twitter.com/ with your email. If you have a phone number with unlimited text messaging, you can also enter in your phone number to receive regular updates, or "tweets", from friends and folks who communicate with you.
Communicating with Twitter at the Festival
1. What is a "tweet"? A message that you or someone else posts. You can type this into the "What's Happening" box on-line, or you can text-message 40404 after you have set up your phone number with Twitter.

2. How do I get my message on the board? Log into your account on-line, search for "DFWFilmFest", and click on the little plus-sign button near it that says "Follow".

When this is done, enter in a text message that includes the text "@dfwfilmfest" . Only messages with "@dfwfilmfest" in the text will make it to the display.

3. What if I am discussing a particular topic and want it to stand out? In your message, type in a hash tag (#) immediately followed by the tag. For example, #stigma could be a tag if you are addressing stigmas or stereotypes. #shootingbeauty could be a tag you use to say something about the movie, "Shooting Beauty".

4. What if I liked something that someone said and want to "tweet" it again? In your message, simply type RT @

Got it?? If you have questions, see us at the Twitter booth at the Festival.
